I deeply appreciate Bruno's work and his way of honest and benevolent teaching based on his own embodied experience. I like the way how Bruno proposes to explore the places of resistance or blocks in my body and trying to relax them. Because it not just helps me to keep my physical integrity but it also gives me the opportunity to inquire my corresponding mental and emotional resistance towards life. I experience it a processes of honest and deep sensing to overcome my numbness. In this sense Bruno provides me with a chance to challenge and expand my comfort zone into places of unknown or an opportunity to regain access to my core self or simply increase the options for my action. But foremost I enjoy his invitation to play and connect with myself and other movers just for the sake of simply playing in of a state of connection and openness and be alive.
Studying with Bruno has been one of the most important and influential experiences I have encountered. The work he has developed over the years has grown organically from his endless curiosity and passion for movement which he shares this with such honest generosity. He presents this information in a truly formless way, without ego, and I have found the things I have discovered with him to be applicable in every aspect of my life. I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to spend time with this wonderful artist, as I know I will continue to do at every opportunity in the years to come!
When I am asked why I am so in love with Bruno's work, the answer risks to get longer and deeper every time, as the more I study, the more I discover aspects that attract me to it on many levels. I cannot but be enthusiast about a practice that is able to make us acknowledge our non-comfort zones and vulnerabilities in order to transform them into powerful resources. I think this challenging and amazing journey is made possible because of the honest and caring environment created by Bruno and his own commitment and coherence during his teaching. This practice results, for me, in an extreme energy and vitality of body and brain that translate every challenge and "attack" I receive into a chance to function at my best, with the least effort I can. This process helps to build and train a calmer inner state of mind while confronted, so that we try to be not only present to ourselves but connected to the other. Being able to playfight getting energized instead of being tired, feeling grateful for every blow I receive and every fall that brings me on the ground is a funny, joyful new way to experience my everyday playfight in life and, I am sure, a path still full of surprises.
In everyday life there are so many moments of being annoyed, stressed, when the critical voice is just screaming from inside. Playfight helped me to deal with it, to transform this inner voice. This knowledge is embodied and practiced in so many different ways, probably as many as people, who got familiar with its concepts. The naivety of the child is combined with struggle of adulthood and interacting together. It is a space gathering people honestly opening for each other, falling and flying together without judgement but being in a moment. I am more than grateful for experiencing it and transforming it continuously.
When i met Bruno at the Play-Fight Camp 2016 in Tuscany i could sense, this would change my life. Not only has the practice he offers led to the creation of the Movement Masterclass but I also started to deviate and expand from the frame of Yoga which I've been teaching for almost 4 years. His sensible, uplifting and direct approach both on personal and teaching level are one of the most inspiring i've met so far. I can strongly say that working with, being inspired and also getting challenged by him is absolutely worthy for everybody (not only dancers, and movement interested people). Whether you're interested in movement on physical level or movement on a philosophical level – Bruno integrates and embodies his research into his own lifestyle: genuine, authentic and legit.
