"About my way until here:
Contemporary dance, flying low & passing through, yoga, bmc, contact improvisation, and since the past 5 years liquid body & play-fight are those practices who mostly shaped and are shaping the way I move and discover myself through the physical expression and interaction with others.
All these experiences are doorways to find more freedom: in the body in terms of flexibility, efficiency, softness, strength, grounding and flow; in the mind in terms of openness, widening the perception, softening the thinking process, getting to know patterns that are there and understanding that I can create new ones when necessary. I am thankful for all the great teachers and dance partners I have met until now.
I care a lot about the field of contact improvisation, not only for the practice itself, but also for the set of values and qualities that are fostered through it. My latest consistent training into play-fight practice by Bruno Caverna gave me the possibility to open up myself to contact improvisation with a new state of mind (and body) which allows me to explore, within the frame of contact, but with a greater freedom cultivated through the play-fight training. For this reason I have been extremely curious to explore this fine line between the two approaches, in my body first. I am highly inspired to see how certain principles in the moment of the improvisation can work harmoniously together, empowering the dance from inside out, or can also take completely different directions. Since two years I am taking part in the Play-Fight Facilitator Program guided by Bruno Caverna; a mind-blowing journey."
